With the weather warming up, it’s time to be back outside, and having fun! The High Point Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting a Kite Flying Contest Saturday, April 13. The Kite Flying Contest will be held at Washington Terrace Park & Community Center, and will take place from 10am-12pm. Washington Terrace Park and Community Center is located at 101 Gordon Street right here in High Point, NC.
The contest is a family-friendly event and is free for all. Awards will be given for the following categories: best homemade kite,

Along with the contest, there are many things for you and your family to do at the park. Here are a few things the park offers for you to enjoy:
- Tennis courts
- Picnic shelters
- Basketball courts
- Regulation softball fields
